What is Coaching?

The International Coaching Federation defines coaching as “partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.”

I love this definition because it highlights co-creation. As your coach, I’m not here to hand you answers. Instead, I’ll help you examine your own thinking, uncover insights, and solve your own problems in a way that feels authentic to you.

How do I know if coaching is right for me?

If you feel stuck, curious about new possibilities, or ready to make changes but aren’t sure how to begin, coaching may be a great fit. You don’t need to come in with all the answers—you just need a willingness to reflect, experiment, and explore.

What happens in a typical session?

Our first session will focus on identifying your “big agenda.” This means clarifying the overall issue or goal you want to work on in the series of sessions we have scheduled. If you’re in The Catalyst, that agenda will be what you want to achieve in three sessions.

Each subsequent session will focus on a specific topic of your choosing that connects back to your agenda. Topics may shift and evolve over time; that’s perfectly normal. I’ll begin each session by capturing your agenda or topic, ask a few clarifying questions, and then we’ll dive into unlocking your awareness and understanding.

We always close by identifying one action you can take between sessions to move yourself forward.

Will you guide me and give me advice?

Surprisingly enough, no. I’m not a guide, I’m a mirror. My role is to reflect your words and ideas back to you, so you can see yourself more clearly. You don’t need my advice because you are naturally creative, resourceful, and whole. My only job is to help you tap into your own insights and strengths.

Will you be sharing about your own life experience?

No. This is your time, not mine. Coaching sessions are always focused on you: your challenges, your goals, and your growth. I will be holding space for you during each session.

Where did you do your training?

I am a student of the Coach Approach Training Institute (CATI), an International Coaching Federation (ICF)-accredited program originally designed for professional organizers but now serving a wider range of coaches.

I’ve recently completed the third in a series of five foundational courses. Upon finishing the fifth course, and with 100+ hours of paid coaching experience, I will qualify to become an Associate Certified Coach (ACC), recognized by both CATI and ICF.

How long will COAChing take?

That depends on your goals, but consistency is key. Some clients come to coaching with a single challenge, work through it in a few sessions, and move on. Others discover that coaching brings new clarity and want to continue longer-term.

For my Thrive in 12 program, pacing is part of what makes it effective. You’ll meet for three sessions per month over four months, with one week each month reserved as “wiggle room.” This steady rhythm gives you both accountability and breathing space, helping you stay engaged without feeling rushed. Stretching sessions out too far apart dilutes momentum, so the structure is intentional and designed to support real progress.

What results can I expect?

Coaching doesn’t guarantee specific results, but clients often leave with more clarity, confidence, and momentum. You may find yourself making decisions more easily, following through on commitments, or noticing new perspectives that open up fresh possibilities. The results depend on your readiness and commitment to the process.

Do you only work with women?

Yes. My focus is on coaching women 40+ who are navigating midlife transitions, burnout, or the desire for more clarity and purpose. This is the community I feel most called to serve.

How is COAcHING different from therapy?

Coaching is very different from therapy or counseling. Here’s how:

  • Scope & Regulation: Therapists and counselors are licensed professionals trained to diagnose and treat mental health conditions. Coaches are not. While I have awareness of mental health, I am not qualified to treat or advise on it. If I believe therapy would be more appropriate, I will always say so.

  • Focus: Therapy often explores the past and addresses trauma. Coaching is inherently present- and future-focused. It assumes you have the mental well-being necessary to move toward the life you want to create.

  • Partnership: Coaching is not about treatment; it’s about partnership. We’ll work together to help you step into possibility, clarity, and growth.

You can absolutely be in both therapy and coaching at the same time. The key is that you need to be ready and able to do the work of coaching for it to be beneficial to you.

Is coaching confidential?

Yes. Everything you share with me in coaching sessions is private and confidential, unless disclosure is required by law. Creating a safe and judgment-free space is essential to the coaching process.

Do you offer virtual or in-person coaching?

I coach exclusively via Zoom. This makes it easy and flexible to meet no matter where you’re located.

What if we’re not a fit?

My process begins with an intake form and a 30-minute “get to know you” session. If we both feel aligned, you’ll be invited to join The Catalyst, a one-month starter package (three one-hour sessions in 30 days). It’s designed to give you a real taste of what coaching with me feels like, and especially the momentum that comes from meeting consistently within a set timeframe.

From there, if you want to go deeper, you can continue into Thrive in 12, my signature program. Thrive in 12 is structured around three sessions per month over four months. That pacing is intentional—it provides rhythm and accountability without overwhelm, so you stay engaged and make meaningful progress.

What’s the investment?

  • The Catalyst: $295 (three one-hour sessions in 30 days)

  • Thrive in 12: $1,128 in full or $282/month

How Thrive in 12 works: This program includes 12 one-hour sessions, paced at three sessions per month over four months. The built-in weekly buffer ensures flexibility for real life while still keeping you on track. It’s a true commitment to momentum, not a drawn-out process, because transformation requires focus and consistent effort.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule a session?

I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice to reschedule. Missed sessions without notice cannot be refunded. This policy protects both of our time and keeps the coaching relationship strong.

How do I get started?

It begins with a simple step: fill out the intake and I’ll send you a Calendly link to sign up for a complimentary, 30-minute “get to know you” session. From there, we’ll decide together if moving into The Catalyst is right for you.
