Curious About Life Coaching?

Be my practice client!

I’m at the very beginning of my life coach training journey and am looking for curious, open-minded individuals to be practice clients as I build my skills.

I’ve nearly completed the first of five foundational courses through Coach Approach Training Institute, an ICF-accredited program, and have just started logging the 100 practice hours required for certification.

My program encourages students to begin coaching early, learning by doing, so that’s exactly what I’m doing!

How it Works

1.) Book a 50-minute coaching session with me on the calendar below.

  • You will have the option to choose a Free Session or a $5.00 Paid Session. Paid sessions help me log paid practice hours for coaching credentialing.

  • You will also have the option to choose a Phone Call or Zoom Call (web conference). Either option is fine.

  • You will receive a confirmation email upon booking including my phone number and a Zoom link. Please add the appointment to your calendar.

  • You will receive a reminder email 24 hours before your appointment.

2.) Identify a topic you’d like to explore in advance of your Zoom coaching session.

  • It’s important you devote a few minutes to identifying a topic prior to the coaching conversation to ensure we get the most out of our time together.

  • For tips on how to identify a topic, please read “Choosing Your Coaching Topic” below.

3.) Join your session at at the appointed day and time.

  • If you are using Zoom, please troubleshoot your tech in advance. If you would prefer to do a phone call, please call me at the appointment time.

  • I will open the session with some questions to clarify your focus and goals for the day’s discussion, and then we’ll explore your topic!

  • For more on what to expect please read “A Few Important Caveats” below.

4.) Want more coaching? You’re invited to book up to 2 sessions per month with me as long as the engagement is mutually agreeable. (Subject to availability; fees subject to change.)

Choosing your coaching topic:

Since I’m still early in my training, it’s best to steer clear of heavy, emotionally charged topics (such as trauma, grief, or mental health struggles).

Instead, bring a topic that is concrete, present-focused, and actionable.

Some examples of great coaching topics include:

  • Time or task management challenges

  • Balancing roles and responsibilities at home or work

  • Identifying strategies for renewal and self-care

  • Making an important decision

  • Aligning your daily actions with your larger goals

  • Navigating communication challenges (personal or professional)

  • Managing a transition or life change (e.g., new job, move, relationship shift)

Even if you’re not exactly sure what to focus on, I’ll help you explore possibilities at the beginning of our call.

A few important caveats:

It’s important for you to know that I am not a certified coach (yet!) and still have very limited experience. You might be helping me more than I help you! So please proceed with an open mind and a generous heart.

Here is a bit more on what you can expect:

  • Coaches trained in the ICF model never give advice. If you’re looking for answers or expertise, that’s the realm of consultants and mentors.

  • I won’t share my personal experiences during sessions; this is your space, not mine.

  • My role is to partner with you in reflection and discovery, trusting that you are naturally creative, resourceful, and whole. You can expect neutrality, non-judgement, and a deeply held perspective that you are capable of solving your own problems.

  • Coaching focuses on the present and future, not on healing the past. For unresolved emotional issues, therapy with a licensed provider is a better fit.

Why I’m doing this:

A home organizer offering life coaching, you ask? Yes! Here's how it fits into the bigger picture.

  • Coaching skills will enhance my Chicago-based professional organizing practice, Amy Louise Organizing, particularly in supporting ADHD and neurodiverse clients with greater insight and care.

  • I'm on track to earn my Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential through the Coach Approach Training Institute by mid-2026. This will allow me to offer stand-alone coaching for those seeking focused support beyond organizing.

  • I truly enjoy partnering with people to deepen their self-awareness and make decisions that are more aligned and intentional.
